Joseph Kemeny

    I have always been in awe of the natural world - both land and sky. In my paintings I try to create imagery that shows the unity of all things great and small. I want to show that there is a continuum through everything in the universe. The hawk and the immense galaxy are essentially made of the same material. I paint with oils and acrylics on masonite board. The smooth surface of wood assists in painting fine detail and in blending colors more smoothly. A typical painting, from conception to finished product, takes several months to complete.
