Introduction:
   A and L Fine Art
produces limited edition prints, which are known as a Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay"), using the latest digital technology.  A and L Fine Art prints are produced using a six color ink set to provide deep, saturated color and captures the finest details. We use the finest archival paper and pigmented ink to produce a museum grade print with estimated life of 100 years. Giclée printing provides you with an opportunity to offer your customers the highest quality print at a cost effective price. Your original art will be saved as a digital file so you can order prints as they are needed and in the size you require. This way you do not have to run the full edition at one time, which eliminates the substantial up-front investment.

 Our Process:
Please give us a call at 313-929-1210 to discuss the project that you want to work on. What size and quantity you are looking for and what type of paper you want to print on. Then fill out the request form and mail it to us along with your artwork or transparency.

We can work from your original flat artwork, an 8x10 transparency or a digital file (minimum image resolution of 360 ppi, in PC and Photoshop compatible format). Next we scan your transparency or original artwork on a high-resolution flatbed scanner. The maximum size artwork that can be scanned is 16 x 20 inches. Any artwork larger then 16 x 20 inches will photographed with a high resolution digital camera.

Next the file is color corrected and cleaned of any imperfections that show up on the screen. Once this work is completed, an 8"x10" proof is printed and sent to you for approval. After your approval, you will e-mail or mail back the proof title and ID number to us for our files. After we receive the e-mail or letter we can start production of your first order. All digital files that we produce remain the property of A and L Fine Art. After your edition is completed the files will be destroyed at your request.

Maximum paper size is 24x36 inches. With a one-inch border this will give you an image size of 22x34 inches.

 Media available for printing:
Crane Museo: Smooth Watercolor Paper, 250gsm, 15mil.
Artist Canvas: 20 mil, House Canvas

 Pricing:
Setup Fee: $120.00. This includes the setup and up to three 7" x 10" proofs of the print. Additional proofs are $15.00 each. The proofs are ran on Crane Museo: Smooth Watercolor Paper and can be sold as artist proofs.

Average price for watercolor paper prints is $0.08 per square inch (including borders).

Average price for artist canvas is $0.12 per square inch (including borders).

All print prices are figured by the total number of printed square inches plus the borders. To figure the pricing take the length times the width of the image you want produced. Multiply the total square inches by price per square inch and this will equal the price per print.

Example: (Water color paper)

1) Final image size: 11x14 with a one inch border on all four sides. This gives you a final size of 13x16 inches.

2} Length times the width: 13x16= 208 square inches.

3) Final price per print: 208 x $0.08 = $16.64

Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
